Leadership To command is to serve, nothing more and nothing less. —Andre Malraux. What is leadership? Leadership is a process “whereby an individual influences a group of individuals to achieve a common goal. When we think of leadership, we usually think of a person who is in charge. A leader isn’t someone who mandates or rules, a leader is a person who climbs and overcomes the rocks along the way with the individuals walking by their side. What does it mean to be a leader? As a personal experience being the class leader was a little difficult, I didn’t know what to do but with help I could overcome it and be more efficient by helping other students keep up and do an amazing job. My main role as a leader is to help and/or assist others at the best of my abilities. Helping our professor is another task that the class leaders need to achieve.
